Cardinal Gibbons Today
Cardinal Gibbons High School continues its strong tradition of nearly 100 years of Catholic education in the Diocese of Raleigh. In keeping with its mission to form men and women of faith, service, and leadership in church and community, Cardinal Gibbons provides students with opportunities for challenge and growth in every aspect of campus life.
It is the integration of purpose in the classroom, in the arts and athletics, in campus ministry and in service to others that enables Cardinal Gibbons to provide its students with a firm foundation of knowledge and values. This foundation starts with faith—the spirit of Cardinal Gibbons springs from a shared commitment to offering our gifts and answering the call to serve.
Families primarily choose Cardinal Gibbons for the Catholic education, valuing a partnership with the school that mirrors their own spiritual goals for their children. There are also numerous parents who are themselves graduates of the school and are therefore deeply committed to Catholic education, the Diocese of Raleigh, and Cardinal Gibbons High School.
Our students are tremendously involved in every aspect of the life of our school: the academic, spiritual, and extra-curricular programs that offer so many opportunities to grow in faith, service and leadership.
Every member of the community is encouraged to take an active role in building our community, and we see through the remarkable growth of so many wonderful programs on campus that students, staff and families indeed feel that Cardinal Gibbons High School provides a unique opportunity to fully participate in the formation of men and women in faith, service and leadership.
